A vehicle in Gordon Cloud represents a physical delivery vehicle in your fleet. By registering your vehicles in the platform, you create a centralised record of each vehicle's specifications, equipment, and operating costs — giving you full visibility into your fleet and enabling accurate cost tracking on every route.
Why register vehicles?
When a vehicle is registered in Gordon Cloud it can be assigned to routes, making it possible to track which vehicle carried out each delivery and what it cost.
Registering vehicles also lets you filter and search your fleet by type, fuel type, equipment, and other attributes, so operations managers can quickly find the right vehicle for a given job.
Where to find vehicles
Vehicles are located under Vehicles in the Fleet module. The Vehicles page lists every vehicle registered across your accounts, and from here you can search, filter, create new vehicles, and click into any vehicle to view its details.
What you can do with vehicles
Create and edit vehicles: Register new vehicles with their specifications, equipment, and cost data. Update existing vehicles at any time as details change.
Track specifications: Record vehicle type, make, model, fuel type, Euro class, cargo volume, payload capacity, and more.
Manage equipment and features: Document what equipment each vehicle carries, such as tail lifts, freezers, alcohol interlocks, and hand trucks, as well as temperature capabilities and refrigeration units.
Set cost parameters: Define cost per hour, cost per km, fixed monthly cost, and monthly operating hours so the platform can calculate route costs automatically.
View route history: See every route a vehicle has been assigned to, including the date, number of stops, distance, cost breakdown, driver, and status.
